Yes my 1982 D penny small date is 2.5g. Received scale today. This penny is only worth face value?

Yes, worth .01, the rare one would be on a copper planchet & weight 3.1 grams.

I do and have checked every one of my 1982-D small dates for that Unicorn of a 3.1g copper planchet.
I also occasionally buy a lotto ticket. Odds of winning are similar.

Speaking of which, tonight's Powerball is $1.09 billion, if I win, I'll do one heck of a CC contest.... maybe something like a 1893 MS65 CC Morgan or something, that'd be fun.
