Does this coin have any extra value due to its condition with that type of error?

I think it's too far gone to have a premium. Still a nice find.

can you post up an image of this coin in front of a mirror so we can see both sides - it will help calculate the amount of rotation in degrees.

Not my field, but I can't imagine it being worth very much.

Nice rotation but like E&V said - too bad of condition for a premium. Here's a chart/graph to check rotation degree.....print it out then cover the paper with clear packing tape to make it durable.

Nice find, but as others have said, little premium. You should keep it as a trophy though.

 Condition negates any premium.

So it is rotated CCW about 75 to 80 degrees - very cool find, but as others have said the condition, well.... But a keeper in my book.

I ask, what might the premium be if this was a solid AU-50? Anyone have an idea?

Quote: what might the premium be if this was a solid AU-50? If there hasn't been another, like it or close to it, sold before for comparison then the stock answer is - "Whatever someone is willing to pay for it"

The answer to that is, imposable to know. If for some reason they caught it at the mint early, hundreds. If they let it run, thousands, if not tens of thousands.

I don't think it has much of a premium value, but it may have a tiny bit. If I happened to see this coin for sale, I might be tempted to buy it, but only if the selling price was no more than a dollar or two. It's an interesting error on an old classic coin that's not seen that often. I'd drop it in a 2x2 and place it in my collection and be quite happy that I'd found it.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

if I had found this in my stash of LWC's...I would 2x2 him with a grin and say well done and keep him in my collection of varieties. Good catch! smat

That's a nice find! Check out http://rotateddies.com/ it lists a 1910 with 90 degrees cw rotation with a "R7" rarity which they indicate has less than 20 examples. I'm a little skeptical of their population numbers since it doesn't seem to be updated that frequently but it does suggest this rotated dies is rare. I think regardless of its condition the right collector would love to own this coin.
