Hi Guys, just curious to find out what is your thought about the 2022 rememberance red poppy coin with the "C" mint mark VS the 2023 rememberance red poppy coin in terms of its value? I have listed their spec I know here for comparison:

2022 version:
Has a "C" mint mark
Mintage 60000
Originally sold from Royal Mint for $15 exclude shipment
Uncirculated

2023 version:
There is no "C" mint mark
Mintage 35000
Come from one of the 14 coloured coins from the 35th anniversary of the two dollar coins sold from Royal Mint for $235 exclude shipment.
Uncirculated

I have seen people sell just the 2023 red poppy coin pull out from the 35th anniversary two dollars coins set for a similar price to the 2022 version. The 2023 version do have much less Mintage however is missing the "C" mint mark from the 2022 version. Which one u think has more collection value?

Welcome 80cents. To be quite honest I prefer my original 2012 version.
Purchased on PNC for $19.95 and now worth $550.
I wasn't going to buy one, happened to stumble on it in the post office, so I bought it.

Mintage would normally reflect value, but it all goes out the window when the same coin keeps getting churned out.(5 varieties now...)
The 'C' mintmarked coins have taken off in value only for the $2 coin.
The poor old $1 has little value no matter which mintmark it has.

So the value is in the eyes of the beholder.
If you can afford only one... get the 2023 set, which seems better value and hopefully be the last red poppy $2 coin.

Thank you all for the great response and your thoughts. In regards to the non "C" mint mark red poppy coins, it was actually released also in 2018 for the 30th Anniversary colour coins set and the Mintage were at 30000.
If this is the trend, I assume the non "C" mint mark red poppy could release again in the future colour coins anniversary set which will make the "C" mint mark Red poppy rememberance coin more special to collect similar to the 2022 one that was released 10 yrs after first released in 2012.

Certainly ebay led demand for the red poppies but surely it must wane at some point,i noticed a couple of 2012's sneak thru before Xmas sub $200 but appear to be rising in price again.
RAM with probably release another $2 folder with the 2012/2023 included so price may stabilise at some point.
