I just got this coin. It has scaly toning, especially the obverse. It's not porous. I think this might rise to the level of ED, but I'm not sure.

End-stage toning

Not sure if it would be ED but there do appear to be scratches in the right obverse field.

I think I've heard the term "fish scales" used. They look mostly translucent until you zoom in with a loop.

VF-25 and might be a details coin. Very dark tone and the scratches are an issue.

It looks VF to me too. ED is close at hand and hard to determine in these images.

I'm going with XF details (ED) I think the coin was improperly stored for while. there are quite a few scratches under that toning. shes low on the eye appeal scale as well
