So to recap your statement about the coins being discussed:
All 1/4oz are worth grading if they can get MS69 or Higher.

The other dates and denominations you mention are worth grading if they can reach MS70.

Keep the proofs in OGP.

I think that sums it up correct?
I will take a harder look at them this week and see if any have a chance for those grades.

Thanks again for all your help, I will keep everyone posted on how they decide to move forward.

Thanks again for all the help here.

I stopped in again and looked at the coins you mentioned. I think a couple have a shot at 70. Let me ask these few questions first.

If the coin is perfect, do finger prints take away from that 70 grade?
What magnification do they use to check out coins?

I personally have a couple 70 silver eagles and a gold eagle in 70.
The 70 eagles have plenty of issues with my 10x.
When I purchased my 70 gold coin, the dealer had a few, I looked them all over and I purchased the only one with zero blemishes. The other two "70's" I found some blemishes....all 3 gold were CACG.

With that said, some of these coins in this thread are clearly out of 70 range, but a select few have less blemishes than other 70's I have seen in person.

Is a 70 coin truly blemish free with a 10x?

Update so far.
I stopped with the family at the local coin shop today. They sold off the 11 - 1oz Krugerrands as they had no attachment to them and they didn't really even know about them. They sold off 2 - 1oz gold eagles that were loose in 2x2 flips, they were no where near perfect. They sold off a handful of regular proof sets. All in all, they got a hefty sum of money.,,and they still have plenty more for later.

I will be sending 3 gold eagles for grading that I think have shot at 70. "Why not"? I told them, and they agreed.
We shall see, I will keep you posted.

I retracted the 69 comment. Only a few of the 1/4 ounce pieces have significant premiums at 69.

10X magnification is too much for grading. 3X is plenty with 5X being the max. Very few 70 graded coins would be totally flawless at 10x.
