Unless he was grading the quality of the scratches and dings, I don't agree with the grade. When you read the reviews, they are overwrought with glowing adjectives and adverbs. I think that he has some friends writing them. I've never read any reviews that were so full of superlatives and not normal for a coin purchase.

Their website suggests that they're pretty mickey mouse in numismatics. They're mostly about grading hockey cards and that sort of thing. Just trying to broaden their market I guess. Wouldn't touch them with a barge poll.

HMMMM, since the town where the seller is from is interesting, I wonder if SPP knows him?

I know KSA from sports cards....in my experience of re-grading cards from KSA to PSA, is that KSA is overly generous.

Actually, what should be the grade, in your opinion? It looks like the coin has been badly cleaned. But based on the hair and the ear, it looks like an AU coin.

It's not an AU coin, even with the wear minor. But the harsh cleaning/scrubbing/sandpaper makes it a "details" coin and unsellable

I would agree that it is not a good start. Ef 40 seems about right, but there shuld be a giant details/harshly cleaned note on the label. Seller even describes coin as being in excellent condition, which is not very accurate.
Will be curious to see more, ICCS is notorious for net grading cleaned coins with no note. As for PCGS, I will say "Cook Collection", when talking about details coins.
