Diameter 26mm Hadrian AE As. Sap Moderator Australia 16806 Posts	Posted 04/23/2024 10:02 pm Probably real, but someone (presumably in modern times) attached a loop to turn it into jewellery. Someone else then sawed off the loop. Similar markings can sometimes be seen as casting sprues on cast fakes, but I'm reasonably confident that's not the case here. Perhaps overcleaned for most collector's tastes, and damaged from the ex-mount, but genuine. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
