Usually I can id most modern coins to a country but this one doesn't give me much of a starting point.It looks arabic to me but I don't see any of the usual things id expect to see ie palm tree or swords or symbols..its very small , as small as a old canadian 5c piece , the tiny silver ones.Smaller than a UK 3pence.Sorry about the quality of the pictures..i must be losing me touch..bah

Sorry, WD1040, it is indeed Ottoman Empire, but it's from Constantinople mint, listed under "Turkey" in the Krauses. The "2" on the obverse is the regnal year, not the denomination. Accession year appears to be 1327, making the coin's issue date AH 1328, or AD 1910.

Thanks guys , I thought I had it , I found one with the same markings but it is cupra nickel and a different colour..is this one silver?

At "smaller than a threepence", it can only be a silver 1 kurush: KM#748.

Good afternoon Sap , yes it is smaller than an old british silver threepence , an old canadian silver nickel is very small as well and comparing the 3 the mystery coin is the smallest of the 3 by a hair,but a noticable hair.
Thank you very much for the id , I'm cataloging all my coins over these rainy days.
