Hey!

Any help with this coin would be much appreciated. I know it dates to AH 1255/ Year 1, but I can't seem to find the precise coin in any catalog. The coin is 20mm in diameter but is very, very thin (almost like heavy foil) and only weighs 1.35 grams. Thank you.

AL

Thanks, found it!

Follow-up question: Is this coin a rare specimen of the 20 Para coin from this period? Once I found the coin I was able to determine that there are quite a number available with dates from 1255/2 and up...but I haven't been able to find any year 1 coins. Again, I thank you for any help you can give.

The Krause catalogue lists dates for this type (KM# 653) ranging from 1255/1 to 1255/5. Judging from the catalogue values, 1255/1 is in fact the commonest.
