I recently had the luck to be able to visit the current exhibition - Legion: life in the Roman army at the British Museum. I took some photos to give an idea of what was on display and have uploaded some to my Forvm gallery.
They comprise the last 49 images in the gallery linked below.

Yes definitely interesting to me. The hoards of course are always cool to look at and imagine the circumstances in which they were hidden, but my fave pictures actually are of the Meroë Head. He's got a pretty intense stare!

I have also created a gallery documenting some of my trips to the BM. I have started primarily with Roman Imperial statuary.

Thanks for posting. I really like to go to museums. A few years ago a traveling Pompeii exhibit toured the USA. I went and very much enjoyed it. There were some Roman coins and many artifacts to see including several body casts of victims.

I was lucky enough to visit Pompeii and Heculaneum back in 2015. A few images from that trip and from a few other Roam sites in the UK can be found here....
