PCGS - This is a 25/50 Capped Bust quarter. When making the die, the engraver thought they were making a half dollar, so they punched a denomination of 50 cents. To correct the mistake, they punched a 25 over the 50, leaving behind a popular variety.

It's the Browning 3 variety. I've seen a couple over the years (on the other end of the grading scale from the Hansen coin!), but never owned one. It's definitely an "ooops" moment in mint history. The Hansen specimen is a beauty!
