NGC - Coin of the Day: Today is Independence Day in Venezuela, marking the day in 1811 when that country issued its declaration of independence. Simon Bolivar, a leader in the independence fight, is shown on this Venezuela Gold 3,000 Bolivares, issued in 1983 on the 200th anniversary of his birth. This coin will be offered by Heritage Auctions in August here.
