No joke. I suspect we'll see many more circulating.

Not looking for attention Are these really going to be worth anything? I guess I need to read the posts again, I'm not a hard core modern coin guy.

Right now, they are very valuable but as they make their way into circulation they will eventually be worth 1 cent. take advantage of them while you can. I am a dealer and I can tell you that they are going faster then hotcakes in IHOP on a saturday morning! If you brought them to a show you could even get some dealers to pay a premium because people are having trouble getting them.

Wait a min!! their not valuable at all!! I will give you $25 for the box. I will even pay shipping cause I'm such a nice guy.

If I were to offer a box for sale here, what would a fair and reasonable price be?

to be honest with you, it could fetch anywhere from $50 on up. they were selling on ebay for a hundreds of dollars a box but I have not looked in a while. I am a firm believer that a coin is worth as much as someone would pay for them. I personally get mine from banks but when people bring them to shows I pay about $2 a roll and sell them for $4. ALTHOUGH, you could get a lot more then that for them if you put them on ebay.

Agreed that "eventually" they'll make their way into circulation. (not so much maybe with the first design "P" mint, being such a low mintage in comparison to the "D" mint. If you had a $25.00 box of those P's,.... I'D BE MUCH MORE EXCITED !)(But having a whole box of either one is something to be pleased with since they are so hard to come by right now.)
But the key thing to remember is that "circulated" 2009 P & D mints is what *may* be worth only one cent in the future. And this "IS" a historic change in the Lincoln Cent, and so they'll be some level of collectiblity with this years newly designed Cent compared to years of Memorials and many years before that with the Wheat cent.
It's always going to be hard, however, to get "both" mints in Uncirculated condition, espicially if your only "collector avenue" for these is "pocket change".
This is why the "2009 Lincoln Two Roll Sets" are so popular for so many people....it's not just the arguable point about "the Mint wrapper", but it's also HAVING BOTH MINTS IN UNCIRC. CONDITION. These will be more valuable than their eventual "circulated brethren" obviously. As to what level of value that will be once all four designs are out, and "post-bubble pop" values after interest may have waned in these......is just purely guesses, theories, and conjecture.

Lastly.......if you have no interest in these two boxes you bought or "modern stuff".......then I'd say you ought to sell them to someone who is....make a nice profit for yourself to buy more "Classic" coins !.....

I put 50 rolls up for sale here. I'm more of a hoarder than seller, new at this. Feel free to critique my sale post, or tell me to go jump in a lake or whatever.

Thanks to all

Get a few auctions up & running on ebay! You won't see a premium on these "long term" because they will be saved in rolls and hoarded from change. Sell off and many as you can and keep as many for yourself as you want. ~ Jim
