Hi All,

My name is Amy. I know nothing about coins and was curious if anyone could tell me if this nickel looks like it was messed up during production or if you think it was damaged after it was made. It just looked interesting to me :)

Thanks for any opinions you can offer.
Amy

Hi Amy, welcome to the forum!. It looks to me as post mint damage, aka " PMD". It may also help to have pictures of the obverse or the front.

Again welcome, and best of luck.

To CCF! Definitely was damaged after it left the U.S. Mint. It's PMD.

Amy,

It is PMD. As mentioned, a pic of the other side would be helpful.

Definitely a damaged coin.

I'm going to ask the Mod Dudes to move your post to a more appropriate forum.
