Could this possibly be a small lam?

Nice woody. Close inspection might uncover a lamination issue.

Nice Woody. I'll say VG for the grade.

I don't think it is a lam - it is smooth and there is no edge I can catch my fingernail on.. Unless it 'was' a lam long ago and worn smooth..

I don't see the wood, looks like damage to the obverse, reverse looks cleaned.

Overall, looks cleaned with old damage. Don't think this is a woody. Not really a fan.

Well I hate to disappoint you here, but this coin was graded straight (NOT cleaned or detailed) PCGS G06.
It is probably just the lighting that is making it look off. Here are the images I took when I first got it Back in 2021

Because it's a '14-D Lincoln it's going to get some leeway in the grading room. With this level of wear, it is more than acceptable for a straight grade.

Nice filler for this key. 14 D's are becoming more difficult to find. I am not sure how many Lincoln collectors are out there now, but in the 60's and 70's Lincolns were the basic starters for my coin collecting gang in Western NY. I don't think it's a woody, and it is an ok grade.
