Got this bill in my change. In hand the color of the reverse stands out like a sore thumb. Not so much in the pictures. At first, I thought washine machine. But the front of the bill shows no signs of that or the off color. I took some side by side for comparison. Seems suttle in the photos but its not. Just wondering if this is even a possibility or somebodys foolery. Thanks everyone.

I am referring to the color of the paper. Not the ink. All ink colors look good. The color of the paper looks like that of a 2 dollar bill. In fact, exactly like a 2 dollar bill.

Well I did a little research. Seems as though the one and two dollar bills are made from the same paper. But to me the paper of two dollar bills always look greener. Idk.

The note is just slightly discolored, not uncommon.

It reminds me of a popular reply from Sergeant Schultz of Hogan's Hero's fame, "I see nothing, nothing."

Indeed, a classic. I had a Hogan's Heroes lunch box in grade school. Its first run ended when I was two, so my love came from syndication.

UPDATE.....Ok, So I was pretty much sold on it being just slightly discolored. No big deal, its a spender right? Well down at the local Safeway at the self checkout aisle. I tried to spend it but the bill acceptor kept rejecting it. 4 times till I realized what bill it was. Now I have no clue about how these machines decipher the good from the bad. Does that raise any eyebrows. I took another photo of it next to a normal color bill in different light.

Maybe washed or exposed to chemicals at some point, but believe me it has no premium.

Thanks Coinfrog.....i wouldn't think it would hold a premium either. First thing I thought was washed also. But the obverse color is spot on with the reverse being a weird greenish blue. Well, thanks everyone for your shared knowledge and time. I'm over it. Spent.
