I picked these up as I try to add older coins to my father's collection. I don't think $40 for the 5 coins was all that bad: 1839, 1846, 1853 large cents, 1864 Indian head, 1862 dime.

I would put the dime on my key ring. I put holed coins on 1/4" split rings, then hang those on the larger ring. This allows the coins to hang free and not tangle up with the keys and pocket.

As the site's motto says, What's In Your Pocket? Old coins!

Except for that gaping hole, the dime isn't actually all that bad. The Indian Head cent was just because I've become obsessed with the American Civil War era lately. But coins like this make me wonder about the people that handled them. Was the Indian Head cent buried before a battle as Roman soldiers used to do? They also bring a realness to the history for me.
