Hi all, recent pick up... Not sure if the marks around the 12 oclock to 3 oclock outer edge are clash marks? but there are also some weird marks in the hair and head of this large cent. Look like they could be a strike through. Any thoughts?

don't think it is a clash, that area on the obverse is opposite the word America and a bit of the ribbon..
Need better close up imaged of the head to know what happened there.

I think it is surfacing planchet impurities. It would delaminate if there was less material remaining attached. Around the cheek and field are the areas around where the impurities eroded away, leaving a small shelf-like ledge on the surface.
