Weight 4.6g (under weight. Checked with 2 different scales)
Porosity 'In God'
Date not centered to shield bottom and odd appearance (looks like possibility of very small die break across date. 1 - 8 - 8 connected near base of numbers)
N of I'N' looks more like a large C
Reverse - weak 'United', 'C'ents C is almost missing

I am wondering why there is weak lettering around the outer most section of coin on both sides, but everything else within the shield and stars looks in darn good shape.

Would like your thoughts please.

Well the weight is within specs. the weakness on both sides in the same area could be due to a tilted die or planchet.
I do notice a slight off center towards the weak area.

Agree, looks like a tapered, thinned planchet.
