I found this one and sent it to get graded but it came back only saying it was genuine Ungradable due to scratches.

Yes that makes sense as that "wire" is one long scratch, plus there seem to be a bunch behind Abe's head. Sorry that you learned this lesson the expensive way.

Just scratched up. You should have posted it on CCF first. We could have saved you a ton of money.

yep, lots of scratches behind the head will 'details' a coin every time.
So, how about a close up of that one on the face? (the squiggly one)

How's it going Dearborn? Here's a close up of the wire on the face. Unfortunately I didn't know about this forum before I sent the coin out to get graded. Live and learn.

PMD or a plating issue. What slab is it in and what did it cost you all in?

Clearer images if you can.
Those look like die scratches. They don't appear to be on the surface of any devices, like IN or Lincolns bust.

And a clear image of the reverse to see if the "wire" below his ear shows up on the reverse.

We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

Hi John1. My 1983 Lincoln Cent was slabbed by PCGS. I believe all in cost was around $200+- for 4 coins + S and H and INS.
I want to get a 1944 S attributed. It only weighs 2.6 grams, and a couple of doubled die pennies too, one of which has multiple Lincoln's in the monument columns. I think my best bet is to get Anacs to check them out. Hopefully I'll get better results and be able to possibly sell them.

I'll post a few pictures of the coins before doing anything.
Hopefully I'll be able to take some clear pictures. Talk to you all later. Thanks again.

Here's another one that I'd like to get attributed. No errors that I could see. Any thoughts?

That 1949 isn't worth slabbing. Only worth a couple cents in AU condition.

ErrorsRcool,
When you have a coin you want to slab, first thing you need to do is see if it worth the cost.
A coin needs a minimum retail value of $150 to justify all costs involved in sending it in.
You need to grade the coin and look up the value to see if it meets the criteria of sending it in,the $150 minimum value.
Here is a link on grading:https://www.pcgs.com/photograde/
Here is a link on value, also check ebay sold values:http://m.numismedia.com/rarecoinprices.htm
