1970 not 1970s. 1970 5/10/25 are a little harder to find.
The varieties Enyaw listed are major ones to look for. 1969 Large Date is the jewel. If you have 10 rolls of each denomination ($170), I'd say your chances of finding any of the 5 is 0.

99+% of nickel change is worth face value

unless in pristine condition, really spotless, not just "looks nice".
Start a collection (for/with kids?). Buy some 2x2 holders and put the best looking coin for each year in it. Go to the site Enyaw posted and look through each denomination and year to see what other varieties or errors to look for.
If you have the time. After months, then years, then decades of researching and searching, you will find many interesting, non-valuable nickel coin varieties and errors, and maybe some nice ones

. You may get hooked on it, so beware.
If the above sounds like a headache, here's what I'd do:
- first and foremost, if you're married, buy something nice for him/her or you're toast

. That'll leave you $165

.
- if you drink, a bottle of "Southern Comfort" +
- an ounce at the government pot store (what a country!) +
- a thick rib steak, or a rack of ribs.
Nah, I'd probably look for a VF 1902 50 cents - there's a gaping hole in my binder.
