1978 Washington Quarter Broad Struck 26.17 MM Diameter

Yokozuna Pillar of the Community United States 4618 Posts	Posted 06/11/2024 1:51 pm This 1978 Washington quarter is a Centered Broad Strike error. The coin was struck without the retaining collar in place. The diameter of this coin is 26.21 mm instead of the 24.3 mm diameter of a normal quarter. It hard to catch just how much luster this coin displays. It has a nice cartwheel effect when rotated under almost any light source. There's an area running from K-11 across to K-1 that looks like the obverse die may have been slightly Collar Clashed. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting?
