1964-D Quarter-Multiple Lamination Issues

Sammyluv New Member United States 42 Posts	Posted 06/14/2024 5:00 pm Hello, I have this well worn 1964-D quarter that I believe has lamination errors or cracks. I only zoomed in on the more major areas. Am I right to assume lamination errors were common with silver coins? I have several, but this is the only one with any cracking like this. I didn't note any cracks on the obverse. Thank you so much for your opinions. Report this Post to the Staff

I didn't have any indication that I could see that there was a lamination on photo 1 of the obverse. The reverse close-ups; the first photo of the word "OF," looked originally like die cracks of some sort, but then I wondered if it was the beginning of a lamination. The eagle's head looked again like die cracks, but then I wondered about the beginning of a lamination. The 3rd closeup of the eagle's wing, (our left), looked like a die gouge with die cracks below it. That gouge is an indent on the coin. I think it could look like a die chip from that angle. I wondered if it was a lamination where the silver flaked off, if that is possible. If I need better photos, please let me know. I am really trying hard with my photos and with learning as much as I can. I appreciate all your welcomes and responses. Hope you all have a nice Friday evening. Report this Post to the Staff
