I am a USA, Brooklyn born New York City Dweller. Started buying coins and paper money instead of saving in a bank in the 1960s. Living a few blocks from Stacks original office I frequented the pre slab auctions. Got to see the silver center cent and quints, etc. I specialized in US coinage and early coppers and silver though not limited to them. Had quite an assemblage before forced to sell in the 1990s. The proverbial "rainy day." Would be a substantial 7 digit collection today. I love coins.
Not a period of life to be acquisitive, I have a few piles of wheat cents and pre82 cents from a family estate to go through and sell. Was looking at the forum to see what was being used to ease the eyestrain. Found one member with a new scope and am grateful for the report. Have looked at digital scopes for years and might now get one.
Splork great to have you aboard. Everyone here is great and very knowledgeable. Ask away on questions and you will pretty much get some great answers. I too am from New York. Born and raised there and then moved to Michigan.
