Hello all, new to the forum. I'm interested in tokens/coins of the Society of the Cincinnati. They carry no actual currency value; rather they were produced for membership meetings from the early 1800s to the middle 1900s, with a majority of them produced just after the Civil War. To my knowledge there are only 7 or 8 variations produced. I am seeking to find them for purely sentimental value and to pass down to my son one day. Thanks in advance!
The link you provided shows a selection of medals though I see no tokens listed. If you are looking for civil war tokens from Cincinnati there are many. Here is the link to the reference book on them.
My apologies for the confusion. That website refers to them as medals but they are very much tokens or coins ranging in size from a nickel to a half dollar or so. I'm not sure why they officially refer to them as medals when the big grading companies refer to them almost exclusively as tokens.
