This coin came out of an old "Library Of Coins" album. It has some real nice rim toning, and overall is a very eye appealing coin , IMO. The last O mint Morgan I posted was very weakly struck, which alot of them are , this one is a much better strike.

As you think about grading this coin, consider the pricing that would be attached to the grade you choose. As a buyer or a seller, you'd better get this one right....I would hate to be on the wrong end of one point...

AU- $250
MS-60 $450
MS-63 $3300
MS-64 $7500

Personally, I gave my opinion that it was MS-63, with a shot at 64. It does have some face chatter but it is relatively light and the fields are pretty clean. The light rim toning just sets it off for me The stronger strike for the date just might push it up. I thought maybe a 63* or a 64. It's a pretty coin in-hand- I am sorry these pics do not really do it justice. I am not well equipped for photos at the shop, plus this is not really part of my job but I do like to share !

Have at it !

AT least MS-63 even with the scratches on the obverse.
Rest in Peace

Sorry, I'll have to stick to MS-62. Too many bagmarks in the focal area, but good reverse.

It might go 63 but I agree with ShadowCreator that 62 is likely.

The only way that makes 62 is if the TPG doesn't want to create wealth. Don't forget how lighting treats coin details, and the further from vertical the light gets, the worse the coin looks. PCGS MS63:

....and that one's professionally photographed for a high-visibility auction.

Wow, it looks like someone carved their initials on her cheek on that slabbed coin!

The lighting at the shop that is available to me is overhead can lights, not what I consider optimal, it does make every mark very noticeable. The marks are very shallow , and I think this coin is a lock at 63- it's a great looking coin in-hand . I will have to find or make myself an area for photos at the shop, but like I said- it's not really my job, just one of the benefits !
Thanks for all your opinions !
