I visited my bank to deposit one check today, and asked teller if they have any 2009 new penny roll.
(I asked the same question at 10 different branches near Silicon Valley, but Nobody had 2009 penny roll.)

Of course, she said, No, but she also said, " no penny roll, but I have new quarter roll".
It was 2009 DC columbia roll !
I was so happy because it was my first chance to get new roll of circulating coins from bank except golden dollar.
I got 3 rolls.
She said, they have more.
Do I need to go back tomorrow and get more rolls?

Hey, I'm in the SV too. All the Wells Fargo I've been to only have DC rolls in plastic. Normally, I would keep 2, but with low mintages (projected) I think 3 isn't bad if you can set aside that much.

I bought ten rolls last week from a bank, not a single DDR , did find some die clash? reverses about a roll and a half, two different kinds. I was going to turn in the rest until I read the post from wd1040 about them being a possible low mintage so now I will keep a couple rolls at least for awhile. Should I keep any rolls of the Puerto Rico's or any of the rest?

Tens of Millions of the State Qtrs. were/are being dumped back into circulation once people realized that they weren't going to be able to "retire" off of the profits from hoarding these rolls !.....
With the Territory Qtrs., I would just save some nice examples of them and not worry about getting/hoarding rolls of any of them.....the D.C. or Puerto Rico, etc.
Though, it certainly won't "hurt" anything to save half a dozen rolls of each to just wait and see .....but I'm not going to.
I'm SO THANKFUL and relieved that the St. Qtr. Program is FINALLY OVER, that I'm not in a big hurry to continue on with the same fervor over the "Territories" and then the "State Parks" Qtrs.... !
Just some nice examples from circulation for a folder "if" I choose to do one is all I'm going to try for personally.
The banks won't get them like they did the State Qtrs. anyway.....so .....it would be difficult for many to even "get" one roll for each Territory and State Park Qtr......let alone "Both" Mints.
You can order them from the Mint, but then you have their "mark up" price and shipping and handling.....and that extra cost may never be equaled by a future sale.

It is what I plan to do, other than the proof sets. I have not bought into the "satin finish" mint sets yet, nor am I concerned about finding BU samples from rolls. I do not have the patience!

I've already found three D.C. Qtrs from circulation....nice ones too ...no Puerto Rico yet though ! And yeah....that's all I'm shooting for too.
But I will continue to get the Uncirc. Sets (SF), Proof Sets, and Silver Proofs every year that I can afford to. 3 each "this" year because of the Copper Cents and the historic total number of coins contained in the Uncirc. Set for 2009. But next year, and in the future, just one Set each.
I'm going HOG WILD for the Coppers !......and I don't think it'll ever go below issue price in value for eternity.....so....they'll be good buys for my collection !
And there's always that "may have to sell something someday" or "when I get old and need to pay for my prescription drugs" kind of thing too ! LoL ......so...it doesn't hurt to have "extra's" !.....

This week I've found five DC Quarters in circulation...

Only a month after I bought my first Puerto Rico
Quarters at the Denver Mint!

I spent over $40 worth of BU Puerto Rico's by the time
I got these DC's "in the wild".

So far the PR quarters are the lowest mintage of all the state and territories quarters. Only time will tell if any of the later territory quarters have lower mintages.
