The 3 quarters are very different.
Two of them are current run quarters, but with the color and light strike and production newness, I really wonder if these two were planchet errors.
The 1975 (haven't looked for the mint) seems to just be missing clad as one side has a silvery stripe.
I took these pictures today in bright sunlight to get the truest color. Please take a look and share your educated opinions about them with me.
Thank you!

These are most likely normal quarters that have spent some time in a corrosive environment. They may have been buried in an acidic soil or maybe even spent some time in a fountain or other body of water.

The 1979 quarter looks like another smaller coin was resting on top of the reverse for quite a while as it reacted to the surrounding environment. That could cause part of the coin to be partially protected, leaving the lighter circular area.

What ever happened to them has cause the surface to become etched and discolored, more so on the 2014 and 2016. The toning could have come from the clad layer losing some of its nickel leaving a rusty/coppery look to the coins, or it may be that something was deposited on the surface.

These didn't look like this when they left the mint, so they're not error coins. It's just Post Mint Damage or PMD.

Do you have a scale that you can weigh the coins with? If you can give us the weight in grams to two decimal places, it would help determine the amount of metal the coin have lost.

ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Thank you both.
I started looking at pictures of others, and started thinking the same.
To be honest, I do not know where they were collected from, I have a 41 year+ collection that I worked on with my dad. We both threw anything old or unusual into the collection, he was military, so I have coins and tokens from all over the world.
I'm just now beginning to look through the collection and trying to learn as much as possible, because I really have never studied coins, just stuck them away in a little dragon hoard! &

Yokozuna, firstly, I want to say I love that name! (80s Baby and I loved the cartoon Era of wrestling, Yokozuna was a Favorite!)
I am in need of my own scale. But will be able to use one soon at a friend's house.
Iam curious to see weights just for the fun now!
