Close, but actually, it's 1956. Both the AD date and Islamic date of 1375 appear on this coin.

And yes, it is Egyptian. You can be pretty safe that any coin with the Sphinx or the Pyramids is Egyptian. The Sphinx series of coins dates from the first Egyptian republic, 1953-1958.

Well, assuming they are Egyptian pyramids of course.

And not Mexican for example.

5 milliemes, KM#378, aluminum-bronze, 1956, as Sap stated. Mexican pyramids are pretty distinctive, as on the 20-centavo piece.
