The subject coin imaged below is resisting my efforts to fully attribute. It may be an 1859 'doubled 185' but maybe not. If so, a value would be most welcome. If not, all thoughts as to its true attribution also most welcome.

Looks like Haxby PC59-161, obverse 46a (die crack at R of Victoria), reverse J5 (die crack thru heal of leaf 16, and gap in vine at leaf 2).

Many thanks to Dearborn, 1960NYGiants and fourmack for their responses.much appreciated!

Thanks too, for acquainting me with the Haxby Catalog for 1859 cents. I was not aware of its existence but am sure it will prove a useful tool for attributing the 1859s in the future.

It appears that the Haxby PC59-161 is a solid match and the mystery is solved. The die breaks/cracks are in perfect alignment except for leaf 11 where the crack from the rim to the leaf continuing to the beaded circle is missing from the subject coin. But, I can easily attribute this to the subject coin being in a slightly earlier die state where the crack has not yet had time to manifest itself.

Once again, many thanks for the help!!
