Must not want another gem to affect numbers - what easier way than DEETS. Personally, I'd crack it for an ANACS go. The hits on the neck is my guess and NO WAY that should details it.
I swing a metal detector and have a knack for finding dirty old coins.

Was not expecting details, I don't agree with them. Maybe it's been cleaned or something.

I think it was details because of the parallel lines on the cheek but yes I also believe that shouldn't have detailed it.

they called it damaged. if anything it has a couple light scratches that may have dropped it a notch but thats not damage. I agree this is a coin with a chance of getting into a straight holder or at least not a damaged one which is way worse

It appears to have what is known as " Counting Wheel "
damage , thus the light scuffs across the face and the details grade .
The reverse shows the start of light PVC issues .
In my opinion the grading service got this one right .
Overall still a very decent 1921 Peace dollar .

i think you may be correct on this on. on the original photo you can't see all the lines. you can only see one below the eye and one near the mouth. in the blow-up you can see all of them.
