I have this nice shape 1936-D Walking Liberty half ...I was looking at it magnified and noticed the date seemed sort of doubled with notching on the numerals.

Does this look like a DDO or is it just normal?

If you need that much magnification to see something, then it's usually nothing.

I thought there was possibly some separation on the loop of the 9 and 3

There's no spread on the date, on your coin.
