Most Peace dollars that have rainbow toning also have blotchy toning. Did you ever wonder why in recent years that so many colorful Morgans and Peace dollars show up on the market? On TPG grading of toners, it is not about what is NT or AT, but what is market acceptable. PCGS finds the OP example market acceptable. I would not buy the OP example and put it into my tonner collection as it does not check all the boxes for a toned original example. On circulated examples the vibrant toning is typically in the protected areas. I have been looking for a PCGS rainbow toned Peace dollar at a fair price to put in my collection for about 7 years and still looking. Report this Post to the Staff

This, to me, makes it an AT coin. I don't care if it's in a holder or not, I see what I see.
