Well, I guess we start with the obvious: it's definitely a jolted type
DDR. So nice find there.
I think your instincts on those markers is correct. To my eye, they don't seem to match. The gouges are too small and not quite in the right places. However (and it's a big however), that could also be due to lighting. Lighting can exaggerate or hide those tiny features. Sometimes I have to rotate the nickel, change from LED to sunlight, move the light closer or further away before the marker suddenly reveals a match. A significant part of the challenge is that you don't know the lighting and equipment setup that BVC used to produce the reference catalog, so you can't ever be 100% apples-to-apples.
2019 is a tough year for the modern nickel DDRs. There are many similar listings for the primary features—there are at least four that I would consider candidates here—and often there is only one marker listed. It's always possible that you've got an earlier die state of a known
DDR. I've got a few that I couldn't conclusively identify for that very reason.
One thing to look for now is other markers unique to your coin. For example, if this coin had an additional big hornet's nest but no matching markers for 058, you could feel reasonably confident that Brian wouldn't have missed that in his analysis. That would point you more strongly towards a new
DDR rather than an earlier die state of an existing one.
