To me, it appears to be raised and affecting (going over) the B in LIBERTY... so, I'm thinking more along the lines of a plating blister.

Could be a solid blister so the toothpick test would only rule out a hollow plating blister, but would not rule out a retained or struck through rim burr. Also would be good to know if incuse or raised as John1 believes it appears to be indented. What say you Bill Kerr?

Guys the toothpick resolves it, it is indented and raised in the area of the "B".

@Bill Kerr, When you pushed on the anomaly with a toothpick, did it create an indent... as if it is raised but hollow?
Or, did you determine that the anomaly is in fact entirely sunken into the coin (incuse)?

(With the exception of the "B")... let's hold off on that for a minute.
