Count me out. Not a coin, I am not interested.
The mint is more worried about superheroes than what their customers would like (realizing that Congress would need to authorize the silver dollar)

I agree, I preferred the alternative design favored by the the Commission of Fine Arts (CFA). I guess the Citizens Coinage Advisory Committee (CCAC) has more pull than the CFA.

The mint is smoking some great stuff. These prices are outrageous. We all know they have been for a while but its getting out of hand.

I don't want to pile on, however I disagree with the price of the silver medal being higher than the upcoming ASEs.
We just got back from Acadia National Park where we saw some bald eagles flying in the air. Beautiful bird, beautiful symbol. I'm much more excited about the ASEs!!!!!

ChicagoCoinGuy, mint officials having seen your post have realized the error of their ways and will be raising the price of the upcoming ASE accordingly <sarcasm intended>.

Looks nice. If the mint would have monetized it I would definitely have been a buyer. We'll see.

I believe the gold coin is monetized, the silver medal is not.

My comment(s) pertain to the GOLD release: Is there any info beyond Fall of 2024 as to a release date? Quantity issued? I'm excited, and can't wait to empty my bank account!

Quote: No price yet. The US Mint added this coin to their pricing grid table a couple of weeks ago. You can find the pricing grid table here. All gold coins prices vary with the price of gold as shown in that table. When this coin is released, if gold is $2700-$2750 the price will be $3740, if gold is $2750-$2800 the price will be $3790. IMHO that's a pretty high price for 1 ozt bullion coin and it's not for me
