The prices of coins since covid and delivery has risen quite a bit. Check this Half dollar for 13 hundred Canadian and 68 dollars delivery.https://www.ebay.ca/itm/235393217818

It's just an asking price, means nothing.

They won't realize that asking price. it is a well handled (as evident in the sellers hands) and well circulated. and it is only 40% silver. Bullion at best.

It's too bad that the seller mishandled it. That seller will never sell that coin for what they want for it.

The prices of coins going up has a lot more to do with the price of precious metals going up than it ever had to do with covid.
And that circulated half dollar is worth about melt - around $4.50 - not $1000.....

They probably bought it from a TV coin sale show for like $20 claiming it can be worth a much as $1000. But of course they would mean if it was high graded which it's not.

The only winner to all those way over priced listings is ebay. They get their fees and the seller gets nothing. Has anyone ever really seen such a listing actually sell? I have not.

As pointed out by Bobby131313... It's an asking price. I suspect ebay didn't force the seller to ask that much.

Just another scammer trying to get lure uneducated buyers to pay a ton of money for a common coin.
