1873 3 Cent Nickel "recut Letters"

That's not something we would be able to see in a picture. For example, the second S in STATES looks a bit suspicious. Upon closer look there is definitely some doubling in places, but wouldnt this just be Machine Doubling? Here are the areas where some sort of doubling is most prominent Report this Post to the Staff
