I have to go for this one, the privy marked "lottery" pieces will be worth so much and I like the design. Wish it was a coin though.

I gave up on that wish eight years ago with my first Liberty medals and had not looked back. I am just happy they have the date, LIBERTY, and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

I'm still on the fence with this one. I assume they will sell out with folks hoping to get the "230" privy.

Meantime, I'd been watching for the release of the silver Libertads. About three weeks ago Liberty Coin and Hero Bullion had small batches of the 2024 reverse proofs at great low introductory prices. I bought some. In terms of appreciation my low mintage Libertad RPs will do better than the Flowing Hair medal except for the lucky ones that get the privy. I posted more info and pics of the 1 oz on "what did you add to your stash today."

Seems with new releases there's always some willing to pay higher than getting one directly from the mint. Lots of pre-sales on ebay. Here's two dealers making a profit already. One has sold 19 of them asking $259 or best offer, not even graded/slabbed! The other is at $129. I assume some just don't want the bother/possible hassle of buying directly from the mint or maybe don't know you can. 75K is not low mintage but considerably less than the Morgan/Peace.

@ Helder, Thanks for The Math !!!!

I see the 2024-Flowing Hair Silver Medal Mintage of 75,000, IMO a Large Amount for a MEDAL.......

I saw the 2024-MORGAN/PEACE Dollar Coins Mintage Too, 300,000 for the Morgan Proofs Alone......... I believe the Coins Traditionally are Minted More, Having Larger Numbers. NO

PS, Remember the " Wild West " showdowns @ High Noon, !!!!

Good luck to those taking the plunge. . .hope you land a privy marked example.

Question for the moderators: Shouldn't this thread be in the "Tokens, Medals, Challenge Coins, and Other Exonumia" forum ?

We prefer to have US Mint products here to acknowledge their official status as opposed to third party offerings.

I'm planning on [attempting to] buy one of these, but I have to admit (to echo what others have said) I'd be much more excited if it were an actual coin with a stated monetary value instead of just a medal. And that's only because I am a coin collector, and not a medal collector.
