Need close ups,but if it is a floating roof or missing FG those are not errors or varieties. They are made up buzz words from ebay. John1

Continuing, those 'missing features' are caused by die polishing work done by mint workers.

The Floating Roof is caused by an over polished die issue. Very common. No premium. You should work on your photos.
Errers and Varietys.

with above - especially that we need close up images to see what you do in hand.

The "floating roof" may be common or over-hyped, but I believe every reference set should have one, along with all the other misses. It is all about learning what is and what is not legitimate.

I know this is common in the 69 & 70, but I'm wondering if the no FG is common in the 71 as well?

I personally have several other NO or very Faint FG on other years 68' and other 1970's, but '69 & '70 seem to be most prevalent.
