It's hard for me to judge based on a photo alone.
So many times I decline when I see other posts like mine here & now.
Are there thoughts, questions, opinions?
I know edge pics can be useful, and so can weight & measures.
Those can be provided.
But just by looks: good, bad or somewhere in the middle?

what would you make the date out to be? 1755?
Looks like it was from Mexico with the assayers initials (MM) on the left.

do you have any other details you can garner from the auction?

The pictured 8R is Mexico 1755/4. Yonaka M8-55a, an uncommon variety. Probably genuine, harshly cleaned.
