Hi all. I found this 1998 Wide AM the other day. Does anyone keep track of varieties for the Wide AM's? I wonder how many different dies were used. This one is in really nice shape.

Do you have a close up of the WAM area? Also a shot of the whole Obv. & Rev. would be nice.

The "Tilted Column" concept is just damage of some sort. If it the colum area just to the left of Lincoln, you can see a depression, then a raised spot, then further up to the right, a scratch. It's damage that covers all three anomalies and whatever did the damage was moving in a particular direction.

Thanks,
Bill

The only problem with that theory is that the mark on the column # 6 is raised denoting die involvement not not post strike damage.
