Hi All,

I wasn't able to watch the whole news report.

I heard 63 tornados hit the west part of the states.

Is everyone ok overthere?

Take Care,
Lars

We all weren't alright before the storm [:p][:p]

So far no reports of any members being affected.

Had one just a few minutes from my house.

"There were no deaths or injuries reported.

The weather service says the twister destroyed three barns, a silo, four or five outbuildings and two vehicles.

It also damaged at least six homes, five barns, three silos and a factory and flipped over a tractor trailer."
(We are in farm country)

----------
Found some humor in this:
"When I came home I knew I didn't park my truck on the lawn," Harter said. "And I knew the barn wasn't on top of it either."

Had one a few miles down the road but dodged the bullet again. Terrible weather Friday and Sunday evenings. Guess we wanted all the folks in for the NCAA Basketball Championships to see just what Indiana and the midwest's weather is really like! You don't get much warning with a tornado and even if you do it is really hard to know when to run for cover. One thing is for sure and that is you only have to sweat for a few minutes. Kind of like a train bearing down on you in the dark, with no lights, as you can hear it but usually the rain and hail, along with the wind, are so loud you don't realize its on you until the big roar and boom! Actually had 4 of them within miles in the last two years so it is getting kind of old and, of course, if you have my luck you can't help but wonder just how long it will hold out! So far, so good!
Did have a friend (ex-co-worker) on I-74 who's car, with him in side, actually got picked up and blown off the road! He was a lucky one this time as most cars or trucks that actually get picked up come down very very hard with disasterous results.
It is JUST the beginning of our tornado season so we will have to keep all you collectors posted as we play dodge the funnel cloud over here!

St. Louis area on the east side of the Mississippi River in Illinois had a tornado touch down. If you saw a department store (K&G) on the national news missing a large section of its roof, that was about 15 miles from me. St. Louis proper just had high winds and hail.

I think they all hit in the midwest. Bobby and I are on the east coast and had no problems. I've also been on the phone with Mike and he's okay, too.

Nothing too bad here, but Van Wert County, Ohio got hit (again- that's twice in three years), and they're just a stone's throw from us. Dad and I were driving to a hockey game Friday night during the worst of the storm, and it was really freaky looking. There was clear blue sky on one side of us, and dark nasty clouds and lots of lightning everywhere else. Scary! [:0]

In Missouri, they were around 30-40 miles away from where I live, as well as a ton in Arkansas and other states! I'm glad we dodged them!!

Have never seen one, although I have driven across parts of Kansas and Nebraska during some pretty ominous weather. Once, coming back from Florida, we were warned by radio to take cover just as we were reaching Wichita.

These experiences make me happy to be living in western Colorado. Never any real weather threats with the exception of occasional high winds that sometimes blow tile off our deck roof.

Anyway, very thankful that Terry and all the others who live in tornado-prone places, are alright!

We have learned to live with them but any more it seems any time of year is tornado time. All we need is a little warm air and a little cold air at the same time and .....lets just say they don't dance well together! Have had the darn things in December in the last couple of years and April to December is WAY TO LONG to worry about it!
