2000 D Dime Totally Black

Why is this dime completely black and almost perfect. There is no silver on it (though there is a shine in the pictures)
There's really no damage or rough spots. It weighs 2.24 grams.
Is this a cousin to the black beauty nickle? That seems to be the closest I've found..
