Quote: Possibly a die crack on a clearly damaged coin.
What is being referred to as a die crack is a cracked coin, from damage. You can see it align, obverse to reverse. The squished area, on the east point of the coin, obverse and reverse, looks to be where it was held by some type of plyers or other tool and cracked the coin.
It really is important to get decent pics when having others analyze. It makes it so much easier to figure out what is going on. I really do appreciate when folks like you take time to do that, you will get more replies and better results, as far as what is actually going on.
