Zilliz81 Valued Member United States 138 Posts	Posted 09/05/2024 02:02 am The only place I could find this metal was in the Smithsonian museum under Aerospace, it was donated by the library of Congress science division. Exodus 19:4 On the front along with 1941 and the letters CPJ.. it was during World War II, and they cannot give me information. All they told me was. It's a Catholic medallion that are given out to people. I understand the Catholic medallions and they have recent ones, but this does not align with those. As the sides have holes to hold some sort of ribbon or such, I believe it's an honorary metal of some sort, aerospace didn't even evolve until the 60s. I don't see this listed in the usual spots that I see tokens listed on the interwebs, but I did find the listings from the Smithsonian. With two eyes, your piece may have been part of a bracelet at one point rather than the ones with a single eye, such as would be used for a pendant or dangle. Have you had any luck chasing down the medallist/sculptor who created this design?
