I am also curious how you all would grade this one, based on the strike, surfaces, etc...I have my own opinions based on the surfaces themselves primarily, but I learn so much the discussions on this forum. Looks like a 64. The only significant mark I see is in the hair above the ear. The mark is fairly substantial, maybe a staple scratch. Maybe a 63+ on a bad day. Beautiful coin overall but not anywhere as rare as the 1804. Overdate looks great under the tiny 8. Love the scrawny chicken necked eagle from the gold quarter eagle die.

My initial reaction was a 64. Wow! Marks in the hair hold it back along with a mark under the Y. May even be higher than a 64. Strike seems pretty spectacular.
