Ordered "2024 Commemorative Collector Keepsake Card" from RCM, ($14.95+tax CAD). Figured they should be unblemished and the mail is free (compared to ebay.)

The C-130, Herc, deserves the recognition. The ring has 8 other RCAF aircraft too. Nice coin.

Sharks, if you like the presentation package, go for it. You can get examples a lot cheaper at any show.

Any information on Type A or Type B of these coins? It seems it has to do with the orientation of the lettering on the rim of the coins

@luthar - From: https://www.saskatooncoinclub.caQuote: When the new security features were added to the two dollar coins in 2012, Edge-lettering of the words "CANADA" and "2 DOLLARS" were engraved along the coin's outer edge. They are stamped into each coin by a separate press, so there is no way to control which side faces up as each coin enters the press. As a result there are two varieties of each coin. With the Type A edge the edge lettering is right side up when the obverse is showing ----- With the Type B edge the edge lettering is right side up when the reverse is showing Personally, I have never bothered differentiating them in my collections.

I wouldn't worry about it there is no value difference.

Quote: Personally, I have never bothered differentiating them in my collections. Given that there is a 50/50 chance of the edge lettering being either way, collectors are more interested in errors and varieties such as missing or partial lettering or different number of serrations. https://www.saskatooncoinclub.ca/ar....html#2012EL

FYI, I made the trip to the RCM Winnipeg for the coin exchange. I know that real estate on a tonnie is limited. So choices had to be made. Missing Canadair CF-5 (Canadian licensed-built Northrop F-5 Freedom Fighter) and Canadair CF-104 Starfighter (modified version of the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter) is also a part of Royal Canadian Air Force history.
