100 years for Massey Harris encased 1947 one cent and it has a decent Obverse Mortar coin in it. I know some of you 1 cent collectors like this kinda stuff. Giving a few good close ups to really see it. Maybe a few to many pics but needed.

I see some MD in there and the 75 year old dirt looks right in place. There' someone on here who collects Encased Coins. Maybe he'll chime in.

Best to leave t alone. If you remove the coin, it will be PMD anyways.

Deffinatly leaving it incased. This was a shoe box find and its in very good condition. My plan with this coin is, I'm going to build a junk yard art antique bench made out of original parts from old Massey Harris machinery. The coin is a perfect fit incorporated in the certificate of authenticity with the cert seal that all parts used were genuine. I have built a few of these benches already but my first MH.

Yes, go to my post above where there is a link to " Encased Coins". I had one with a 1919 Canada large cent that I sold to a collector. Here is a link on Canada encased coinage: http://goccf.com/t/304630&SearchTer...,coin,canada

Hey Chad coins! If you are going to use it in a project, I would be happy to find you another and figure out a trade. They are not hard to find. I am probably over 300 Encased Coins and while I have never tried to collect them by Zoell varieties, it would be a fun addition. I still have your email I think.....

I had a Massey Ag dealer who just built a new shop and they got ahold of me and bought it on the spot. They were looking for this kind of memorabilia and want it in there show case as a museum piece for all to share this history. It sure found a good home! Yes I was aware of this Encased Coin and I did view the encased web site and very impressed with it. Smallcent your collection must be breath taking!!

Looks like 8! I only care if they have a Canadian coin or Canada in the legend. There are 13 in the catalogue at this point that meet that test.

Love the Hutchinson one. Farthings are decently scarce all around. There are one or two Canadian issuers with farthings. Forsyth for sure. Semi Ready Clothing suspected but no one has found out who the issuer was yet.
