I have about 7 or 8 of these quarters. Different dates. Some are frosted on front and some are frosted on front and back. Pristine condition. Are these clad or silver? What would they be worth? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Flattening staples helps to prevent them from scratching any other coins the 2x2 flip/holder comes in contact with. They can be flattened with needle nose pliers.
The 1977-S quarters are clad proof coins, the less you handle them the better. The frost you speak of is what we call a 'cameo' which is a desirable feature to have on proofs.
